snow snow snow

well we thought it wouldnt come. we flew back in from sunny california late sunday night and were amazed on how gorgeous seattle looked from above, covered with just an inch of snow. today it really hit. we got at least 4 inches of snow overnight and it has been snowing all day. couldnt make it to work – roads are too rough to drive on. so the husband and i decided maybe lets try out the roads- at about noon today we did- didnt go very far. just about cleaning and warming up the car up from all the snow is how far we went.

heres my handsome man trying to clean it off. after deciding that it would be safer just to leave the car there, we walked to starbucks and enjoyed a hot cup of joe.

after a little more circles around the neighborhood and freezing our toes off we decided to head home. i went out to our balcony and decided to snap some photos of our snowy seattle.

after i was just about done freezing my butt off on the balcony and be on my way to the house i looked down at our car and saw this pretty heart. couldnt resist taking a picture.

Cabin getaway

although this is very late to share i still though why not. as you may remember i mentioned here that we were ditching the holidays and going for a little getaway to a cabin. we spent amazing 3 days in this cute little cabin doing absolutely nothing.

it was very relaxing, considering the fact that every single person we could think of at the moment was probably cooking, cleaning and running last errands to make sure everything is perfect for christmas.

after dropping off gifts with our families, we set out down to and past snoqualmie pass to out little cabin. it was snowing hard. took us a little over an hour to get to our spot. when we finally did-we unpacked, turned on the fire-place & enjoyed a cup of warm tea in the snowy wonderland.

the cabin itself was adorable. this is our 3rd trip there (we go there during winter)it’s always decorated in christmasy/wintery way.

we enjoyed walked around and just hanging out for the first couple days. on the last day-day we planned to leave-we went snowboarding and enjoyed a nice day on freshly powdered mountain.

although it is way past christmas, i’d love to hear what was your christmas like. do share :)

snow days and christmas tree

this is a little late to be posting about but i still thought, eh what the heck! why not.

we had tons of snow fall this week. snow started to fall on sunday but the weather was too warm for it to stick to the ground. monday came and it was snowing like there is no tomorrow.

it was very beautiful outside. not so beautiful out on the road. in washington if there is snow on the road -all life comes to halt. im not kidding. this week i was unable to do much of anything because of the road conditions. but it was worth seeing every little snow flake fall down. we had a very nice snowy thanksgiving now we’re hoping for a nice and very snowy christmas.

speaking of christmas, our christmas tree is up. we were beyond excited about putting it up. and we got it done in a jiffy. it looks absolutely stunning. all its missing is couple presents underneath.

christmas tree

i’d love to hear about your holiday preperations and see what your chrismas trees looks like. do share!! :)
