sunny california
so here were arefinally: in sacramento california, after a delayed flight and a speedy flight here, now anticipating possibly the most exciting weekend of this year. no i am not even over exaggerating about this. this is about to be the most epic weekend ever. literally. fireworks and all. like this:
vintage christmas and little bit of something something
how was ya’ll christmas? mine was just wonderful. i dont know why i never noticed it but my mother in law has an amazing taste for things vintage. and her christmas tree decorations are big part of it. i spent about 30 minutes taking pictures of cute little ornaments here and there.
the little bit of something something is actually kinda big. my husband was so awesome this christmas and totally made me happy by letting me buy a canon 50mm 1.4 lens!! Ahhhhh!
Merry Christmas
We’re Mr and Mrs Santa Claus this year. Husband tried growing out a beard with too little success for a long one haahhah. we’re off to our families for this exciting Christmas eve! With whole bunch of these! :)
So merry everything to all. Enjoy this amazing holiday season!
MERRY CHRISTMAS
custom notebook [diy]
i wish a had the source of where i found this idea. if someone will find it- please let me know so that i can credit!
so its pretty simple and yet super cute. I bought this no special at all notebook from maybe walmart- or even ross. I wanted to do something fun to it- spice it up a bit. and that was when i found this idea online and now so sad that i cant find it again.
so here are just some small pointers on this diy.
supplies
–new or old not very pretty notebook
–lots of decorative tape
–pretty craft paper
–rub-on stickers (optional)
–mod-podge glue
–paint brush
–scissors
1. take 2-3 craft paper pieces and arrange them on your notebook.
2. take your decorative tape and secure those pieces into place.
3. keep taping the front of your notebook until all areas are covered.
4. take your rub-on sticker and place it where you like. make sure to rub it on firmly so that edges dont peel off.
5. take mod-podge and cover the entire surface and let dry. (recommended to do this step twice to ensure that your tape/craft paper/rub-on stickers dont peel off.
enjoy your notebook!!

couple things along the way + jasmine star
so couple exciting things are happening this week and next few weeks.
school is over- i just took my last final yesterday morning and now i am free at last– for next 3 weeks -haha :) school is back on in january and i will try to be blissful about it.
alsooo my cousins wedding is next month. i have been so excited for this and just absolutely cant wait. we are flying out to california mid january to be at this exciting event. :)
aaaaannnnddd :) as a present for myself from myself i got me self some contacts yesterday hahaha :) i was getting so tired of wearing my glasses all the time. btw - i dont know if its just me but i notice that its very very VERY hard to drive with them. especially when you are trying to switch lanes and you are trying to look back but the frames are in your way and you have to go way-way-way out of your way to actually turn your body and see if there is someone who you are about to cut off!! but now i can see!! i am still on “probation”. have to go back in about a week and have it rechecked to make sure that my eyes are okay and are not being irritated too much by the contacts. but let me tell you! i feel great!! look better too (to myself at least-husband says not so nerdy anymore) :)
and last but deff not least– i got my copy of EXPOSED by jasmine star today! so a cup of coffee, on our comfy couch, warm blankie to wrap in, copy of EXPOSED and lots of christmas lights in our living room is what in store for me today after this long day at work!
im excited for the weekend to come. family photos is another thing that is happening at the end of this week.
and this planning is starting to get the best of me but i am proud to say that this may be the best thing that i have ever planned so far. i cant wait to share this with you guys!
lovely things [pintrest]
i have recently been invited to pintrest and have been absolutly taken by it. those of you who are using it already sure know what i am talking about! so i thought id share some of my favorite finds so far!

[ i think i will have to do this soon]

week of thanks [thursday]
this is a straight to the point one. im thankful for him.
I think that everyone can be thankful for that one person in your life but he is so much more than just that one person. we all have people we want to be like but he’s my best friend, my lover and the most amazing person! I can’t be more thankful to have him in my life. He is simply awesome and is always there, in happiness and sorrow. Thankful for him.
week of thanks [wednesday]
thankful for the light.
sometimes things may seem like they just come. light is one of those. we expect it to come once morning hours arrive and not think of it much. i was reminicing of old times with my husband the other day over dinner and this has caugh my eye. we were having dinner, it was late, dark outside, and we were able to enjoy a nice dinner together in warmth and with light. in the olden days, people had no electricity and had to live with a fire source in order to be able to see in dark.
i am thankful for the light-more than i could probably ever know.
week of thanks [monday]
yay we are only couple days away from thanksgiving! i love this time of the year- its holiday after holiday and i could live like this all my life- in joy ;) this week everyday i will be posting something that i am thankful for. some of these things are unusual but its deffinitely something that i am thankful for and would like to share with you.
[ i also want to encourage all of you bloggers out there to do same. i think this would be the perfect time to be thankful with thanksgiving and all!! ]
today i am thankful for football.
![]()
![]()
you heard me right. i dislike it. (haha-hate is a strong word-dont use it ;)) i dont understand it and most likely never will. all the excitement about football games and superbowl and other stuff and teams winning and loosing just doesnt get me a tiny bit excited. i dont understand the point of running around with a egg shaped like ball and jumping on each other (many of you will disagree)
so here is what im really thankful for– my husband dislikes it too!!
he doesnt watch the games, doesnt play (unless its an occasional toss here in there while camping or in the park), and doesnt talk about it 24/7. i have girlfriends whos husbands watch/talk/live football, doesnt matter if its the season of not. my husband would rather watch and talk about cars (which i am completely okay with).
thankful for disliking football!
November
November is here!! I was so delighted to hear Christmas music on 105.3 yesterday. I always love when new month comes in- it’s almost like time to start over. New plans new goals. I’ve been away and quiet but I do have several exciting posts to share with you in the next few weeks.
We went on a delightful vacation in September and i have beautiful places abd yummy pictures to share! And my dear cousin is getting married and I’m so excited to be allowed to be part of it! My wedding was years ago and to digg in and plan something all over is making me too excited. I’m beyond words can explain excited for her!! :) pintrest, by the way, has the most darling things and tidbits for all sorts of wedding things- I was a tiny bit bummed out that I didn’t have these resources for my wedding!
A lot more of super excited things are coming. I’m excited to share my newest diy project which looks soo lovely!
4th of July
our 4th of july was fun! we enjoyed a gorgous day outdoors and then watched some awesome fireworks. we got ourselves whole bunch of fireworks and blew them up at our inlaws backyard.
great night with great people, id love to hear how yours was! do share :)
my garden [sort of]
since the move (which has been completed just recently) i’ve been able to enjoy several things. first of course having a wonderfully bigger apartment. larger kitchen and a walk-in closet! but the best would be our balcony. having this balcony gave me an opportunity to plant some fruits and veggies. my mom is a big gardener-she grows pretty much everything strawberries, green onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, corn and i can just go on and on.
ive never had the chance to do this because at our old apartment we didnt have a balcony. with very thorough instructions from my wonderful mom i was able to do this! so i am very excited to share with you my first sprouts of my teeny-tiny garden :)
[yes there is green strawberry thats starting to get bigger]
i havent gotten myself around to taking some pictures of our new place. one day. one day i will.
Happy Memorial Day to everyone and enjoy your long weekend!!
where we’re at now
we are in a middle of a move. simple as that. we are moving from our cute tiny 600 sq ft apartment into something bigger. and nicer. and much more exciting. but the process is just so horrible.. i cant wait untill this process is over.
this is what our apartment currently looks like.
we got boxes scatterd all over the place. everything is packed and ready to go. hopefully this will go by smothely and fast. i will post pictures of the new place soon :)
Happy Mothers Day to all you wonderful mothers out there!!
happy almost monday and i hope you have an amazing week.
good to be back
hello my dear readers!!
im finally back & so excited to be back. school has had me up at all times of day and night studying and studying. i finally got some time to write up some posts and share them with you.
so as you may have noticed that there are some changes to the blog. i have given twisted blog a little twist.
we got a new header as well as some changes to the colors.
to the right i have added a side bar which now has the archives and something i called “blogs i adore” <<—this used to be in the top right hand corner named ”online goodies”-but i think this way it will work out much better.
in the next several weeks ill be sharing with you what has piled up in the last month or two. photos, diys and anything else that will pop into my head.
thank you for being patient with me as i went through this horrifying time (hehe).
Happy Valentines Day!
just stoping by for a minute to wish you all happy valentines day. me and the hubs are staying in tonight, having some sushi and watching a cute flick. nothing fancy but i think we’re gonna have fun.
how did you spend your v-day?
ps: i have finally had time to write up some posts for twisted blog so check back next week.
Merry Christmas!
just wanted to stop by real quick and wish you all a merry christmas. we’re gonna have a little getaway this christmas. all this crazy holiday preperations made us wanna skip out on the holidays and take couple days off. we’ve dropped off the gifts for the family and now ready to hit the road. we’ll be spending couple days up in the mountains in a cozy little cabin.
merry christmas dear readers!
if you look closely under the christmas tree at presents — you can see that i used my snowmans as “from, to” cards. :)
Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
this weekend was the ugly christmas sweater party. i do want to thank you all those who came out and made the evening fun.
merry christmas to all. :))
christmas cake done by carly’s custom cakes.
apparently our christmas sweaters werent ugly at all-we were told they were really cute. haha in my defence-i went shopping everywhere. i mean i visited every goodwill, value village and 100000 of thrift stores with no luck at all.
thus comes my request-i want to see your ugly sweaters! if you had/went to a party this or last year-please do share :))
december 1st
its december 1st. i cant believe how fast this month has come. whats more unbelievable is how fast this year has gone by. it seems like just yesterday we were putting away our decorations and its already time to take them out again.
i always love going into a new month. and this month is especially fun because of the holidays-christmas and new years. for this christmas me and husband are throwing an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. we are super excited and very busy with planning, inviting and preparing.
i’d love to hear your holiday preperations and if you have any ideas on games/any entertainment for the party!
Happy Thanksgiving!
i hope you all enjoyed your thanksgiving day. i sure did-im increadibly thankful for my family! they are amazing-all of them. mom, dad, parents in law, my two amazing sisters (and a baby brother on the way), sisters/brothers in law, and my amazing grandparents! i couldnt have asked for a better thanksgiving. this day is truly blessed!
happy thanksgiving!!
Space Needle
i thought today id share something that me and the hubs did a while ago. we (washingtonians) never go up to the space needle. and i mean never. ive been living here for a little over 7 years now and this probably my 3rd or 4th time. first time was of course, when we moved here-space needle was the place to see. and whenever we would have guests out-of-state come and visit, space needle is the tourist spot. well this was no occasion-no guests, nothing-we decided to just go up. here is some scenery from up above aprox 605 ft.
there was this cool touch screen monitor on top which allowed you to zoom in and out on sertain parts of seattle as well as had a 360 view of everything from space needle. and it would make fun cartoon animations.
and space needle has a pretty awesome gift shop.
5 guilty peasures & 5 funny habits
i have a confession to make. i havent been faithful to you, my dear readers. i apologize. i promise to make it up. somehow. anyhow. school and work has been practically ripping me apart. but i will try to do my hardest to finally get my “blog on” and keep it on. :)
i found this idea on A Beautiful Mess by Elsie.
my guilty pleasures
1. i love love love my kittens. well its a cat and a kitten. they are just awesome. they make my day.
2. if there is a song i like i will listen to it untill i cant stand it anymore.
3. sushi! that is a food i will never get tired off.
4.cooking and trying new recipes. this is something that i absolutely love doing.
5.i love show ”the gates” -its a cheesy vampire show but i love it. [season is on hold so im sad :(]
my funny habits
1. ever since we have moved out from living with my parents, i never get to show my sister what i bought when i go shopping. so its picture time. i bust out my phone, take pictures and msg them to her.
2. whenever i cook a dinner and my hubby is not home yet-ill send him a picture of it saying “dinner served”. that always speeds up his arrival home. :)
3. this is more of a bad habit never-never ever ever- put my clothes away after i wore them. they will lay on top of my dresser for days before my husband will yell at me to put them away.
4. i have a “route” which i follow to clean our apartment. i start in the restroom, then go to the walk in entry, then the kitchen and so on. if i go off the ”route” i start running around and trying to clean everything at once-not a good route.
5. i will buy journals to write things in-recipes, diary, anything-but will never get a round to it. and ill have a stack of clean journals lying around the place.
[pictures that are small are off my cellphone]
what are you funny/guilty pleasures?
